Okay, now get your mind out of the gutter! I’m writing a blog post about butches and cooking. I wrote recently about the Butch Cookbook and that started me thinking of butches who cook. So, what do you cook? Do you have a specialty? Would you share the recipe? If your partner does most of the cooking, what do you do? (ie Saturday breakfast) Do you have something that’s your “secret weapon” for impressing a femme? Share, share, share!
Send it to me at barbara dot sharpe at yahoo dot com. I need you to specifically say in your email that I have permission to use your recipe, if you send one, and also how you want to be credited. If you have a website, I’ll link to it, if you want.Happy Cooking!
The Femme Fairy Godmother is the alterego of a Michigan femme who loves to give (mostly unsolicited) advice to everyone regardless of sexual orientation. Also, the FFG has an overwhelming urge to mother everyone. And by mother I mean tell you how to live your life.

heya. I’m butch. I cook. I weld. I weld dungeon furniture, actually. And I cook all kinds of stuff. My blog is a mish-mosh of cooking, welding, building, life, etc. Check it out and poke around. If you like something, use it, link to it, whatever. I’d like credit, tho. Thanks. Try searching for recipes or else just wander. Great stuff.

Thank you for your kinds words about our book. Thought you might like to know that recipes cannot be copyrighted. This was told to me by the US copyrighting office itself. Only thing you need permission for is anything they tell you around the recipe if they have a copyright on it. Usually, most people don’t which helps to make it fair game when publishing recipe material.
Also want to let you know we are collecting a second cookbook called The Lesbian Table, and are presently collecting recipes if you would like to send us any. So far we have recipes from Katherine V. Forrest, Ellen Hart, and Ann Bannon to name a few so you would be in good company. Hope we can share.
