I was fooling around on the internet today and I found a new blog.
A so-called Christian left a comment on her blog. An anti-gay comment, of course.
You should go read it right now.
I think we *should* publicly have a thing or two to say to people like this. If you don’t like the queers, stay away from us.
Oh, and should “Anonymous Hater” find her way here, I’d like to remind her that “Christian” means “christ-like” not “mindless parroting of drivel my priest/pastor tells me.” Jesus would have been down with the gays. If you don’t think so, go read the parts of the Bible that deal with Jesus’ life. Then do some historical research and find out who some of those people were. The gays of their time, so to speak.
It is people like Anonymous Hater who make me cautious to publicly identify as a Christian.
The reason I do is so that people will know we’re not all like that.

Thank you for the mention. I put the comment up because I felt compelled to expose her/him to other bloggers. I just put my response up this morning. People like this poster piss me off.

o shit. im going to read now… They have some nerve.
funny on twitter the other day a guy posted: why is it those who arent christian forgive faster then those that are?
because they judge more then anyone, and the only person that CAN judge us is the lord. As it states in the bible, if you’ve never done anything wrong (so to speak) throw the first stone…
Preach on FFGM!! Mwah!!

I ask for forgiveness for the length of my response before I delve into it. Okay, knuckles are cracked and sleeves are rolled up. Having been the victim of the hate crime of gay bashing, I am well aware of the tactics of terrorists. Why would the opinions of people who want me to be fearful matter to me in any way? Really. Do these Haterade drinkers pay my taxes or feel my pain or do my death? Do they recognize me and my sisters as glorious children of the Creator. God gave even Lesbians and Gay men free will. Now was that God’s first mistake? So essentially the haters are actually in judgment of God. I don’t want to be anywhere near them when that lightening bolt strikes. No way. I’m saying” Look at the time, I gotta run. Or maybe gotta bolt? Okay, no morning humor. So, having raised children, worked with children, loved children I find it odd to be in the position of (topic change) “mothering” dogs. What is it with Lesbians and pets? Last night Jennifer and I picked up a puppy, six months old, pitbull something mix, that our 6-year-old dog picked out. She had declared the need for a companion dog since we live on 25 acres in a canyon complete with coyotes, bobcats and cougars. And get this, we own two chainsaws. So last night was spend convincing Kyla that th puppy would not get more love and attention than is her right. Then, that meant tethering the puppy to one of us so that all slippers, magazines and carpet services were safe. Eventually, the dirty looks on Kyla’s face resulted in puppy going to bed in her den so that Kyla could be top dog. They did tug together and sleep next to me on the floor for awhile. In no time, the puppy is called the baby. What the hell? Now, I’m up writing, puppy is sleeping, Kyla is cuddling with her other mama. See what I mean? The house is quiet, the toys scattered about are many and I emit a sigh of contentment. I love having children or pets or both to take care of. Don’t tell anybody? So, we get to be moms if we want, people first and certainly children of the Creator with every right inherent in that position. Can I get a witness?
