Though the Bible has been used to hurt people all over the world, there are some things in it that are good and beautiful and useful.

Most people don’t realize that The Byrds’ song “Turn, Turn, Turn” is based on a Bible passage. Here it the passage it’s based on.

Ecclesiastes 3:1-8 A Time for Everything (New Living Translation)

There is a time for everything, a season for every activity under heaven.
A time to be born and a time to die. A time to plant and a time to harvest.
A time to kill and a time to heal. A time to tear down and a time to rebuild.
A time to cry and a time to laugh. A time to grieve and a time to dance.
A time to scatter stones and a time to gather stones. A time to embrace and a time to turn away.
A time to search and a time to lose. A time to keep and a time to throw away.
A time to tear and a time to mend. A time to be quiet and a time to speak up.
A time to love and a time to hate. A time for war and a time for peace.

What time is it in your life? Is there something you should let go of but haven’t? Is there something you should do but haven’t? What is it time that you do?

Do you pray? I do. One of my other favorite Bible passages is 1 Thessalonians 5:17, Pray without ceasing.

One of my favorite Unity songs “Our Thoughts Are Prayers” is about that and the lyrics go:

Our thoughts are prayers
and we are always praying.
Our thoughts are prayers,
listen to what you’re saying.
Seek a higher consciousness,
a state of peacefulness,
and know that God is always there.
And every thought becomes a prayer.
