Thanks for telling the stories. I miss our children too. I read the Thanksgiving food thing and saw Lesbians minimizing something sacred to me. I think I was most hurt because Lesbians are one group that “knows” first hand how it feels to be dismissed. I gave thanks for all I have left and I spent the day grieving hard the loss of my family and children. It was because of racism that my mother became mentally ill enough to do damage to her own children. Because of her early rapes and pain, because of her humiliation in that boarding school, she never did upright herself mentally or emotionally. She turned on the Femme and me and nearly destroyed our lives–evil gay family and all that. So, the Femme writes to you all that it’s a long story. What happened to us is a long story–what happened to my mother to make that happen to us is an even longer story. It is a story based in pain, frustration, hurt and 500 years of internalized oppression. Ya’ll do Mother Earth a favor today and go out and hold her somehow. She loves a hug from her children too. Peace.
