Not that long ago, I was talking to the cutest femme lesbian. She was all of 22 or so, and darling. Anyway, she was telling me about how people often didn’t think she was a lesbian (oh, sister femmes, don’t we all know *that* story?). One of her gay-guy best friend’s friends asked her, “Are you a fruit fly or a really cute lesbian?”

I love fruit fly! It is so much nicer a word that Fag Hag, don’t you think?

There really isn’t a lesbian equivalent for a straight guy who likes to hang out with lesbians. My friend SaintChick calls hers a “dyke tyke” but I’m not sure that’s gonna catch on. Not too many straight guys are down with being called tykes!
